RESTORING BALANCE AND CREATING A” SPIRITUAL RIDING” EXPERIENCE FOR HORSE AND RIDER
“Horses move out better and perform at a higher level if they are comfortable and balanced”
Chiropractic care (VOM) is proving to be invaluable in detecting and treating gait abnormalities and other performance problems in horses.
Dr. Deborah Ramsey is certified in the VOM program for animals, having studied with Dr. William Inman in 1997-1999, with recent certification in Kinesiology Taping for the Equine Patient/Sport Horse.
Dr. Ramsey is well known for her skill in equine chiropractic care, a rapidly growing health-care adjunct for the equine patient. Dr. Ramsey has had years of personal experience in finding the proper saddle, saddle fitter and pads, frustrated when the saddles did not improve the horse/rider balance. She holds multiple National titles from years of showing her Paso Fino horses. She educated herself to help her own horses and then expanded this discipline in her Equine Chiropractic Care practice. Dr. Ramsey’s goal is to restore the balance and create a “Spiritual Riding” experience for the horse and rider. Years of showing her Paso Fino horses resulted in her winning numerous National Championships. Guided by her own experiences, Dr. Ramsey found horses move out better and perform at higher level if they are comfortable and balanced.
Dr. Ramsey is adept in analyzing saddle placement, utilizing a method of wither tracing and measurement for a saddle repair technician to re-flock an area that may need a revision. Although she does not sell them, she will recommend an affordable, durable and reasonably priced saddle. Many of the problems that horses she treated had issues stemming from ill-fitting saddles. Equine patients had multiple saddle inspectors or fitters, yet the horse still did not have the relief that the owners had hoped for and therefore accumulated a large collection of expensive saddles that did not work. As she saw a large number of horses fall into this category, Dr. Ramsey expanded her expertise to provide a more extensive protocol to treat the spinal issues due to ill-fitting saddles. Usually a few minor adjustments can help the horse using Equine Chiropractic, saddle inspection and wither tracing that will provide comfort to the horse and provide both the rider and the horse with a balanced seat.
She is available to travel to Hamilton, Wenham, Beverly, Gloucester, Rockport, Ipswich, Topsfield, Boxford, and Rowley for consultation and treatment.
